  • Daniel – Best Meal of My Life

    May 25th, 2011

I have a new love. His name is Daniel. If you are ever in NYC you simple must eat here!

The ambiance of this Upper Eastside jewel simply cannot be beat.

Who could object to sky-high arrangements of fuchsia rhododendrons and peonies.

My meal started off with a delightful trio of poached shrimp, Spring pea puree, and smoked salmon for my amuse bouche.

Next came a scallop rosette. Divine!

Followed by grilled sea bass with a syrah reduction and caramelized cippolini onions.

The hubs got some delightful veal concoction.

Next came a chocolate cake filled with liquid caramel and milk sorbet. No words. Your life is not complete until you have eaten this.

And just as perfectly as it began, it ended with a collection of superb petite fours.

Two very happy, very full individuals.

    The End.
