    Currently Loving Leather

    December 30th, 2011

Lately, I just can’t get enough leather. I find myself drawn to it in everything from bags, to dresses to pants.

There is something so sultry and yet sophisticated about the material. It compliments every ensemble that I try on.

    Do you love leather?

Comment below if you want to see how I’m incorporating it into my winter looks!

    Elizabeth Taylor Jewelry Auction

    December 17th, 2011

Ms. Taylor is a glamazon after my own heart, so when I heard that her jewelry was going to be displayed here in NYC, I headed straight to Christie’s.

Well let me tell you the collection did NOT disappoint. Pearls, emeralds and rubies the size of gumballs filled the cases. I was in HEAVEN.

And yes and diamonds. There were LOTS of diamonds! I wish I had something to show you the scale of these pieces.

I noticed that Liz had quite a thing for tassels. Countless pieces of her jewelry had some sort of tassel element. I DIE for those earrings!!

Some fab gold tassels on a bracelet…

And here are some stunning emerald pieces. Those pink and green earrings in the top left were amongst my most favorite.

See what I mean? Those with a white jersey asymmetric maxi dress on the Island of Capri? Yes please!

The exhibit also included a fabulous collection of black and white photos of Liz across the span of her career.

Such a star. It really inspired me to further my current jewelry collection.

And so I’ll leave you with this:

    “Big girls need big diamonds.”

    LM Looks

    December 16th, 2011

So I had a little to much fun virtually merchandising my Luxury Monograms product line this week….

We are filling out the collection more and more each month and I am rather smitten with our pieces.

I mean who wouldn’t enjoy “play” setting the table. Polyvore reminds me of having paper dolls, anyone else?

And it’s a little too fun being able to dream up an imaginary room!

    Which look is your fav??

    Lately Loving….Leopard + Plaid

    December 15th, 2011

Some of you are going to think that I am a little off my rocker today, but I have to tell you that lately I have been loving plaid and leopard mixed together.

There is just something magical about wearing the two iconic prints together. The scale and palette is key when attempting this look. I recommend rich hues in both to keep you looking luxe not looney.

So what do you think? Would you try it?

    My Apartment’s Christmas Decor

    December 13th, 2011

I will be hosting Christmas at my apartment this year, so I have been ultra motivated to make it superbly special.

I’ve been running all over the city searching for the perfect accouterments for my holiday decor. I am in love with the Venetian marbleized wrapping paper that I found down in Soho. And oranges decorated with spiced cloves have become a tradition for me.

I kept my tabletop clean and sophisticated with sparkly snowflakes and icy touches of crystal. Roses white as snow keep with the frosty theme.

I chose to hang my wreath on the inside of my door so that I could enjoy it all day long. 2 yards of gorgeous, chartreuse satin ribbon is the perfect luxurious touch.

Do you have a post sharing your holiday decor? Leave it below. I’d love to stop by and check it out!xx

    NYC Holiday Show House

    December 5th, 2011

This past weekend I had the absolute pleasure of seeing the Susan B. Koman Holiday Show House here in NYC. It was in the most spectacular $77 million dollar property on 63rd between 5th and Madison. It. Was. Spectacular.

The stunning main living space was done by Ralph Lauren. It was the perfect combination of glamour and sophistication – per usual.

I loved the gallery wall of black and white illustrations above the fireplace.

My favorite part was this fabulous work area in the corner of the room. The studded inspiration screen was so chic and inspiring!

The watercolor panels on the seating room upstairs took my breath away.

This room was titled “dark and stormy.” I loved the whimsical birds that were painted on the ceiling. Not to mention the glam, but understated chandelier.

I loved the luxe table set up in this room for dinner for two. It was all so very Gossip Girl.

And on the top floor was the most spectacular penthouse. Soaring ceilings, romantic windows and beautiful views.

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to move in!
