During my visit to NYC a few weeks ago I decided to take an evening stroll down 5th and check out the window displays.
I loved the whimsical theme at Dior.
Bergdorf’s were a bit creepy. It is July, not October after all.
There was a definite focus on dolls.
Creepy, no?
I’m crazy about the Eiffel tower painted on the outside of the Louis Vuitton store.
I can’t remember which shop these are from. But the travel theme was divine!
However my all time favorite was the Bendel’s window below:

Pictured above is the private estate in Napa we rented with some friends – I decided that I should share what I did over 4th of July weekend before the month ends!

We were lucky enough to have a private chef that created amazing meals like this…
There are no words to describe how amazing this filet mignon was.
Days were spent lounging in the pool.
And on the 4th we headed into downtown Napa for the fireworks show. It was perfection.
In my opinion, this is the perfect way to wear animal prints. Keep all other colors and prints to a minimum and add just one piece that pops. Tie in the colors of the animal print without defaulting to an all black outfit.
Save the all black look for something like this. Sharp tailoring and sharp heels perfectly compliment a printed scarf.
And for the feet, go for a leopard-print wedge. It’s so much fresher and unexpected than a heel or flat.
This is long overdue, but I wanted to share some photos with you all from our trip to Santa Barbara last month. The Four Seasons was absolutely lovely.
Guests also get passes to the Coral Casino. We thoroughly enjoyed sunning ourselves and ordering from the delicious poolside cafe. Their halibut fish tacos are to-die-for!
I loved lounging on the sundeck high above it all and just listening to the ocean.
Evenings were spent enjoying the most exquisite meals. I highly recommend Bouchon, where we celebrated our one year wedding anniversary.
And if you got tired of the Coral Casino (can you imagine?!?), the Four Seasons has a gorgeous pool as well.
We honestly just relaxed, which we hardly ever do on vacation. And it was fabulous.

I just finished hosting a lovely dinner with some dear friends and felt compelled to share with you a great recipe. I got it out of “Donatella Cooks” - a fabulous new cookbook. Simply combine chunks of fresh mozzarella, grilled peaches, basil and minced shallots. Then drizzle the whole thing with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and salt. Serve with a toasted baguette and enjoy!
